The making of the Trump Effigy: A mini-documentary

by | Jan 9, 2018 | News, Student's works

Have you ever wondered how effigies are made, and by whom?

These giant colorful caricatures of people in power are staples of protest rallies, but take time and talent to shape.

M.A. Journalism student Che delos Reyes produced a short video that follows a group of people who created the effigy of U.S. President Donald Trump for the ASEAN protest rally on Nov. 13, 2017.

Delos Reyes submitted the mini-documentary to her Journ 229.1 class under instructor Luz Rimban.

The mini-documentary was shot entirely on an iPhone 6.
