The Konrad Adenauer Stiftung is now accepting applications for financial support from practicing journalists from all over Asia intending to enroll in the Ateneo de Manila University’s two journalism programs—the Masters in Journalism and the Diploma in Visual Journalism—for the next school year.
Both programs employ the blended learning approach, a mix of online and face-to-face sessions ideal for practicing journalists and photojournalists who may not have the time for full on-campus sessions. The online learning environment enables the practitioners to incorporate classes into their schedules without having to take time off from work.
The deadline for Adenauer Fellowship applications is Sunday, Nov. 3, 2019. Interested applicants should start working on their applications by going to the Adenauer careers website.
Please take note that this fellowship application process is only for financial assistance from Konrad Adenauer Stiftung, which has been supporting the continuing education of Asian journalists for close to 20 years now.
The application for admission to the Ateneo programs is a separate process with a separate list of requirements.
The deadline for applying for the Masters in Journalism program is March 2020 for foreign students, and May 2020 for Filipino students. All applicants to the Masters program are requested to visit the Ateneo Graduate Programs website for the list of requirements and timetable. Here is the link: lsgradadmissions.ateneo.edu.
The deadline for applications for the Diploma in Visual Journalism is January 15, 2020. Interested applicants are requested to visit the Asian Center for Journalism website https://acfj.ateneo.edu. Details on the application process for the Visual Journalism program can be found here: https://acfj.ateneo.edu/academics/diploma-in-visual-journalism/
