ACFJ representatives led by Dr. Violet B. Valdez, executive director, took part in the workshop “Media Development in Asia: The road ahead for KAS and its regional partners,” held in Singapore, December 4 – 7.
This three-day administration and planning meeting convened by the Konrad-Adenauer-Stiftung (KAS) Media Programme Asia, a follow-up to a similar workshop in 2009, discussed project planning and administration, reporting standards, and the new requirements and procedures which have been implemented in KAS offices and programs worldwide in the past two years.
The key resource persons, Paul Linnarz, director of KAS Media Programme Asia, and Kim Tan, representative of Team Asia and Pacific (Berlin) Project Administration and Finance, discussed formal reporting rules and principles.
Participants included representatives of KAS Media Programme Asia, ACFJ, Asia News Network, Society of Asian Journalists, and the Political Communication Network Asia-Pacific.
ACFJ representatives were Katherine November M. Grupo, Administrative Assistant, Irene B. Veñegas, Project Assistant and Aileen D. Torres, Assistant Director, Ateneo de Manila University Central Accounting Office.
