An alumna of the ACFJ’s multimedia journalism program will take part in an experimental ethnographic study of the University of Leuphana in Lüneburg, Germany for the BBC.
Shobha Iyer, a freelance photographer from India, finished the Diploma in Multimedia Journalism (DMJ) in June this year.
The study, which is being conducted in eight countries including China, India, Egypt and US, aims to improve BBC’s global news coverage. It aims “to track tech savvy users’ news consumption habit,” said Iyer, who will be doing the ethnographic study along with four users in Mumbai.
