A photo essay on elderly people by a current student of the Diploma in Photojournalism at the ACFJ has been published on the Al Jazeera website in time for the observance of the United Nations as the Day for the Elderly on October 1.
Soham Gupta, a freelance photojournalist from India, said the photo essay is about the elderly people at the Ramthakur Home, an old aged center, in the eastern city of Kolkata.
“Though I work with the simple reason that I love documentary photography more than most things, yet at times it feels nice when some of my efforts are acknowledged,” said Gupta.
