About the Exhibit

The Deutscher Fotobuchpreis or the German Photo Book Award is an annual competition that recognizes the best photography books published in German-speaking countries in a particular year. The winning entries comprise a travelling exhibit that is shown at the Frankfurt Book Fair and major cities in Europe and other parts of the world. The 2015 exhibit presents the top winners and other books which made it to the shortlist. They were selected for their exceptional presentation of a photographic theme in the four contest categories, namely, photo-illustrated books, coffee table books, photo-theory and historical books, and photography textbooks, and were chosen by a jury of renowned experts. The Deutscher Fotobuchpreis, formerly known as the Kodak Photo Book Award, is presented by the Association of Publishers and Booksellers in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany (Börsenverein des Deutschen Buchhandels, Landesverband Baden-Württemberg e.V).
