ACFJ’s institutional thrusts and programs have been under review as part of an institution-strengthening project supported by World Press Photo. Through individual and group interviews as well as surveys, many of our alumni, students, faculty and partners have taken part in this process which culminated last year in a strategic planning workshop. ACFJ’s directions for the next five years were identified, among which is a review of its curricular programs in the wake of the changes in journalism that are reshaping the professional needs of journalists.
While the review is taking place the diploma programs – Diploma in Photojournalism and Diploma in Multimedia Journalism – will be deferred this year. Short-term courses will continue to be offered and the new schedule will be announced by April.
