10 October 2014 update:
This year’s submission deadline for the Diploma in Photojournalism has been moved to Thursday, October 30.
————————————————————————————————————————————————–
The Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University (ACFJ) is now accepting applications for admission to the 2015 Diploma in Photojournalism and Diploma in Multimedia Journalism. Applications are being accepted until 30 September 2014 for photojournalism and 31 October 2014 for multimedia journalism. Admission to each program is limited to 12 students.
Both diploma programs are composed of five courses offered through the blended learning mode of instruction, a strategy ACFJ has used successfully since 2002 to bring its programs to media professionals. For each program, three courses are fully online while two others are hybrid courses with the conventional classroom classes taking place at Ateneo’s Loyola campus in Quezon City. Students build a portfolio as a capstone project.
Diploma in Photojournalism started in 2006 while the Diploma in Multimedia Journalism in 2011. Both have been jointly designed by ACFJ and World Press Photo, the Amsterdam-based media NGO.
Since 2007, 101 journalists from 14 Asian countries have completed the diploma programs.
