Blogging with Iris Gonzales: an ACFJ workshop

by | Aug 1, 2018 | Featured, News

Veteran journalist Iris Gonzales of the Philippine Star shares her blogging experience at the workshop titled “The art and tech of blogging” to be held at ACFJ on Saturday, Aug. 4 from 9 am to 12 noon.

Gonzales is a graduate of the Ateneo’s M.A. Journalism program and once represented ACFJ in a blogging contest. She has been blogging for The New Internationalist, a UK-based media cooperative, on and off, since 2010.  She covers the Philippine economy, writes human interest and development stories, and has a column that comes out twice a week.

Saturday’s workshop will focus on how to create and sustain a blog, as well as ethical issues arising from the blogging vs journalism dilemma.

Interested participants are requested to send a note to ACFJ via email, acfj.soss@ateneo.edu or through Facebook.
