Applications for ACFJ’s 2014 Certificate Courses are now being accepted. The application deadline for the first course, Visual Storytelling, is on 15 August 2014. Classes begin on August 30 and end October 30.
The Certificate Program offers stand-alone courses in the following special fields of reporting: Visual Storytelling; Mobile Journalism; and Sports Writing. It seeks to raise the bar for journalism in Asia through short-term university-based training designed for reporters, editors and professionals in allied fields.
Filmmaker and academic Isabel E Kenny will facilitate Visual Storytelling while digital media marketing expert Dr Stephen Quinn and veteran sports journalist Dr Severino R Sarmenta Jr will handle Mobile Journalism and Sports Writing, respectively.
All courses are held online using Blackboard, an online learning management system.
