Quezon City, 9 Jan 2012. Washington’s Investigative Consortium for Investigative Journalists (ICIJ) has just appointed ACFJ’s Syed Nazakat as one of its new members. ICIJ, who recently added 41 new members from 28 countries, is an organization made up of hand-picked professional investigative journalists who tackle global issues. Syed Nazakat, from India, is currently the principal correspondent of the Indian magazine, “The Week,” and is also a visiting faculty at AJK Mass Communication Research Centre at Jamia Milia Islamia University in New Delhi.
Aside from India, other new members of ICIJ come from Australia, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, Egypt, France, Great Britain, Guatemala, Hungary, Japan, Jordan, Latvia, Lebanon, Netherlands, Nigeria, Norway, Palestine, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Slovenia, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, the United States, and Venezuela
