DEADLINE FOR 2020 MASTERS IN JOURNALISM PROGRAM
Applications for the 2020 Masters in Journalism program must be submitted and completed by April 2020 to the Ateneo de Manila University Associate Dean for Graduate Programs for those applying for the 2020 Adenauer Fellowships provided they pass the criteria for admission to the Ateneo Graduate School and the Masters in Journalism program.
The deadlines for application to the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU) Graduate School for the first semester are April 2020, for international applicants who are applying from abroad; May 2020, for Philippine-based international applicants; and Filipino applicants.

PROCEDURES ON APPLICATION FORM SUBMISSION
Step 1: Create an online account and sign-in to the Graduate Online Admission to the Loyola Schools (GOALS).
Who May Use the GOALS
The Graduate Online Admission to the Loyola Schools (GOALS) is open to those who will be applying for a Graduate Degree Program.
Complete set of requirements must be submitted to the Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs on or before the deadlines posted at this page–http://ateneo.edu/ls/graduate/application-deadlines.
Step 2: Fill out the form and upload all requirements on or before deadlines set for each term/semester. Deadlines may be viewed at this page–http://ateneo.edu/ls/graduate/application-deadlines
Allow at least 5 to 14 working days for the OADGP to check and verify the information and documents provided. An email notification will be sent to the applicant afterwards.
Step 3: Pay the Application and Ateneo Graduate Entrance Test fees as indicated in the email to be sent by the OADGP.
Step 4: Take the Ateneo Graduate Entrance Test on the schedule provided by the OADGP. The exam will be administered by Fr. Jaime Bulatao, S.J. Center for Psychology Services (Bulatao Center) at the Loyola Heights campus. Graduate Record Examinations (GRE) results may be submitted in lieu of the Ateneo Graduate Entrance Test.
Step 5: The international applicant will be interviewed by the Communication Department Chair and ACFJ Executive Director. The interview (which may be done via phone/video call) is scheduled after the international applicant has filed the application papers and taken the entrance tests.
Step 6: Admission notices are issued by the Office of the Associate Dean for Graduate Programs. Students are normally admitted on a probationary/provisional status.

The Adenauer Fellowships for Masters in Journalism sponsor Asian journalists who can demonstrate excellence in their work and are contributing in a significant way to the press in their own societies. Full grants cover tuition fees, and a general allowance supported by the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung (KAS) Media Programme Asia. Other forms of support are available to senior journalists, teachers and part-time working journalists.

An applicant must possess the following criteria to be eligible:
1. Has met the requirements for admission to the program
- A bachelor’s degree (civil degree);
- An undergraduate general average of 85% or B;
- A minimum of 18 undergraduate units or its equivalent in the major field in which the applicant intends to do graduate work;
- Acceptable scores in the entrance tests administered by the Fr. Jaime Bulatao, S.J. Center for Psychology Services (Bulatao Center).
2. Has at least two (2) years experience as a full time photojournalist/multimedia journalist, photographer or journalist
3. Has an excellent academic and professional record
4. Has qualifications which meet the aims of the scholarship program.
5. Is 35 years old or younger by the time he/she starts the Masters in Journalism programme.
* The Adenauer grants are open to full-time journalists from most part of Asia.
*Please remind your endorsers to submit their recommendations directly to Ateneo de Manila University Associate Dean for Graduate Programs by April 2020 for International applicants and May 2020 for Filipino applicants.

Note: Applicants must also keep copies of all documents submitted. ADMU reserves the right to keep or otherwise dispose all materials submitted six months after the start of the program.
