The Konrad Adenauer Asian Center for Journalism at the Ateneo de Manila University (ACFJ) is now accepting applications for admission to the 2016 Diploma in Photojournalism and Diploma in Multimedia Journalism. Applications are being accepted until 31 October 2015. Admission to each program is limited to 12 students.
Both diploma programs are composed of five courses offered through the blended learning mode of instruction, a strategy ACFJ has used successfully since 2002 to bring its programs to media professionals. For either program, three courses are fully online, while the two others are hybrid courses. These courses employ a combination of online and classroom methods. The classroom sessions take place at the Ateneo’s Loyola Heights campus in Quezon City, Metro Manila. Students build a portfolio as a capstone project.
Diploma in Photojournalism started in 2006 while the Diploma in Multimedia Journalism was launched in 2011. Both have been jointly designed by ACFJ and World Press Photo, the Amsterdam-based media NGO.
Since 2007, 107 journalists from nine Asian countries have completed the diploma programs.
